Battambang – Arrival in Siem Reap airport transfer to Battambang. Check into hotel for Lunch. After that we enter into WAT EK PHNOM which is located on the left bank of River Sangkae. It is a Hindu temple built in the 11th century under the rule of king Suryavarman I. Although partly collapsed and looted it is famous for its well-carved lintels and pediments. An enormous white-stone sitting Buddha statue leads to the modern Buddhist pagoda Ek Phnom surrounded by 18 Bodhi Trees The site is deemed as a very popular picnic and pilgrimage destination for Khmers at celebration times. The pagoda opens the way to the ruins of the ancient hinduist temple. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Battambang – After breakfast, your vacation in Battambang is not complete without a visit to the Crocodile Farm. The farm is located along the river bank, north of Battambang. Bring your kids along as they will get a chance to take photos and hold the baby crocodiles. The good thing is, tourists and visitors get to learn more about crocodile breeding. The best time to visit Battambang Crocodile Farm is in the morning. Wake up early and head straight to the farm in time to see them feeding on meats.
From there we move to BANAN TEMPLE, you will also get to have a closer look at the ancient ruins. Wat Banan is totally unique yet ancient. The temple is constructed on a hill. You need to recharge your energy and rest well if you want to climb up the staircase to the top of the temple. In total, there are 358 steps. Despite the looting in the past, the site is still well preserved up to now. There is more, you can explore three caves from the temple too. You need to search for the narrow staircase at the site. After lunch we move to Bat Cave. The cave is located on a mountain, about 11 kilometers (6.83 miles) from Battambang town center. You will get to see thousands of bats flying out from the cave and do not forget to bring along your camera to snap some memorable pictures. Apart from that, the well-known Killing Cave of Phnom Sampeau is also located here. You will be terrified to see various skulls and skeletons at the cave. They are the remains of those killed by the brutal Khmer Rouge regime. Your trip will be a memorable one as you will not only see the bats but also learn about the history behind the Killing Cave of Phnom Sampeau. Krovan. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Siem Reap - After breakfast, back to Siem Reap for Transfer to airport for your onward international flight. (B)
